I recently purchased an Apple IPod Touch 2nd generation device with 16GB storage capacity. I really like its cool features. It's my first experience on Apple products. I have explored Unix, Linux and Windows series of operating systems and applications a bit on Mac.

Despite some criticism on Microsoft products, I always wondered about Microsoft products about the product usability. But apple proved it to be wrong about my perception. The usability of the device or applications is awesome.

I always thought handheld devices are not a good option to watch movies or reading news/books as it has got very small screen. But Ipod touch has again proved it's not alwaysJ, may be at the cost of its price. It is worth having one.

My review goes here

Some of the features I liked.

Definitely the touch effect with zoom in, zoom out and panning Slim and weightless Quick recharge Bigger screen Wi-Fi, I browse, I chat, I mail and I do more with IPod touch while watching TV Most or...

Finally got a chance to visit capital of the mother country Delhi, India on 24th August 2009.

I have been using live messenger for some time on my new windows 7 operating system. Windows 7 has got new way of displaying the tray icons. It's a most welcome feature.

Unfortunately Live Messenger is not abiding the rule. The problem with Live messenger is when the application is opened, the task bar will have two task items displayed on task bar. When the Live messenger is closed by clicking on X close button, task bar will still have one task item left. When the user selects to close the other task item, finally the application will exit, rather than running in the background.

Is it an expected behaviour of Windows Live Messenger?

Day by day, my confidence level on Microsoft products goes low. Few days ago I was thinking of not using internet explorer after all the frustration had with. My frustration still continues to be.

Now i may say its monopoly L, since i am left to use only internet explorer and no other choice.

Today i had to attend an online meeting on WebEx. To join the meeting i had to install the WebEx plug in. But the Internet Explorer 8 simply crashes whenever i get the Plug-In install bar.

I finally finished the meeting without WebEx. The worst part of it is Plug-Ins are supported only by Internet Explorer on windows operating system. But i got an unusable browser Internet Explorer which only crashes. I was left stranded L.

Either Microsoft should ship a stable product

or

WebEx should ship the tested Plug-In on all the versions of the browsers or WebEx desktop client.

The work around i found to get WebEx plug-in installed on my machine Windows XP with SP3 was, ...

These days i hardly check my mails in rediff account. Rediff is one of popular sites in india with fastest free email service. Definitely much better than Live mail or yahoo mail in speed.

Rediff has changed the screen layout recently. For some reason i like the previous layout than the current. The way the contents organized was much better than now. A few days ago i wanted to check my mails, but took some time to identify the way to login to my mail box. The reason being there was no Rediff Mail link anywhere in the home page. It has got only Sign In link at top of the page. But Signing in by using the link directly takes the user into mail box, only to mailboxJ.

I doubt it is very intuitive in the main page. May be providing Sign In link in the Rediff mail main screen (if at all they have one) would make more sense than in the home page.

The better way must be providing...

I have been using Internet Explorer for more than 9 years as a default browser in any computer I use, let it be a work computer or home computer. But I always have other browsers installed, since some pages will have problem with IE, especially MSDN sites will have some weird script error.

Internet Explorer 8 gave me a bad experience. Not worth relying on it anymore. I thought the problem with my current IE8 on Vista at my home, I am facing the same problem with IE8 on Windows 7 and XP with SP3. So decided to explore other browsers Firefox and Chrome.

Everybody talks about recession. Okay, will a really strong economy face recession?

No and Yes.

Why and how No

Strong economy always has a long term vision. It just does not think about making money today and be happy today. But building a strong economy will take its own time; it is like building immunity in the body. Initially the outcome may not be big, but it will stand in the long run.

Mostly Slow and steady economy would run long. There are so many companies which depicts this.

Why and How Yes

It's obvious that when everybody around is sneezing, it infects strong economy as well. Still the strong economy can recover sooner than the other. We have people in industries gravitated by monetary benefits than their actual skill sets and end up building a weak economy. Government should change the mindset of people by promoting other industries. Government is biased towards certain industries. People interested in electronics would perform better in electronics industry than banking industry. But we have people working for money in different industry which they are not specialized in.

Yes, i bought a laptop with better RAM and Hard disk capacity. I will be able to try all new products, especially from MS. My new laptop has also got finger print reader, Web Cam and remote control :) to control my laptop, i am not sure if the remote control is really going to help me. But i already stopped using keyboard to loginto to my laptop since i got a finger print reader.

My current laptop never gave me a trouble, i am not sure about my new laptop. Within a day I already got one disappointment from the reputed product manufacturer.

I am writing this blog from my old laptop, somehow i am attached to this laptop. May be soon i will start blogging from my new laptop.
